How to Fix a Low Resolution KDP Cover
A low-resolution KDP cover can make your book look unprofessional. The fix starts with checking whether the cover has enough pixels for the print size.

Check the cover dimensions
Your full cover includes the back cover, spine, front cover, and bleed. The correct dimensions depend on trim size, page count, and paper type.
Check the pixel count
After you know the physical size, multiply inches by 300 or 600 DPI. If the file is smaller than that, it may print soft or blurry.
Do not stretch a small image
Stretching a low-resolution image in a design tool usually makes it worse. Upscale the original image before placing it in the cover design.
Export at high quality
Use high-quality JPEG or PNG exports. Avoid over-compressing the cover file.
